Carnitine

Carnitine, or L-carnitine, is an amino acid manufactured in the body from the essential amino acids lysine and methionine. L-carnitine helps take fatty acids from the cells so that they can convert these acids to energy. Many studies have shown that L-carnitine supplementation can help the heart function more efficiently in those that have been diagnosed with heart disease.
