What’s in SambuGuard?
Wild Grown Elder Flowers (Sambucus nigra):
The extract from elder blossoms has been shown to help the body to maintain healthy sinuses and respiratory tract and soothes scratchy, irritated throats and coughs.* A diaphoretic, elder flower aids in managing fevers by promoting perspiration, which helps the body to release toxins* (1,2,3,4).
Wild Grown Elderberries (Sambucus nigra):
They give Sambu®Guard its delicious flavor. The rich flavonoids content (quercetin, rutin and anthocyanins with antioxidant properties) have been to found to interrupt the ability of some viruses to replicate. Anthocyanins (an antioxidant), promote the production of lymphocytes, which act as a second defense against foreign cells. In addition, the raw elderberries also have laxative and diuretic properties to aid in detoxifying the body.
Organic Fresh-Pressed Echinacea purpurea:
Echinacea supports a healthy immune system. A key compound included in the juice is chicoric acid. What is chicoric acid, you might ask? It is an acid that increases immune response that destroys undesirable micro-organisms. It helps regulate the immune system, making it efficient in its attack against intruders, and is found to be more concentrated in fresh pressed Echinacea juice. And if that wasn’t enough, Sambu®Guard uses only certified fresh pressed organic Echinacea purpurea in its products.
Did you know?
The Echinacea purpurea fresh plant juice is expressed from organically grown herbs within 2-3 hours of harvesting. This produces the ideal liquid herbal preparation because the key therapeutic constituents remain bathed in the cellular fluids of the plant. Essentially, the juice is recognized by the body as food, which allows for maximum absorption and utilization.
The Echinacea juice floods the body with medicinal compounds plus vital minerals and vitamins that are naturally occurring, as Mother Nature intended.
Vitamin C and Acerola Cherry (Malpighia punicifolia):
Acerola cherry is the richest and most readily absorbed, natural source of vitamin C available!* As an antioxidant, it helps protect the body from the oxidative damage from illness, stress and pollution.* It is extremely effective at strengthening the immune system. Additional vitamin C (as ascorbic acid) is added to ensure the amount of vitamin C in 1 Tbsp (15 ml) of Sambu®Guard meets the recommended daily allowance.
Did you know?
It It is unbelievable that one tiny cherry has a higher vitamin C content than an orange. Specifically, the vitamin C content is 65 times greater than an orange, which means one cherry has a vitamin C content that is equal to the minimum daily recommended requirements. It is one of the richest sources of vitamin C in fruit, second only to camu-camu (5).
Research has also demonstrated (Sambucus nigra) has immunemodulating, antioxidant, and insulin-stimulating properties (6).
