Sleep Maxx by NRG-X labs is a great supplement! Sleep is one of the most important parts of the day for any serious athlete and with the training that I do I could always use a great night’s sleep. Sleep Maxx works very nicely at helping me unwind and relax at bed time followed by the best night’s of sleep that I’ve had in a long time. Sleep Maxx also doesn’t leave you feeling groggy and disoriented when you wake up like some other sleep aid supplements do. I’m in college and I don’t get to sleep in very often and even when I was up late studying I could always count on Sleep Maxx to put me to bed and allow me to wake up feeling rested and refreshed by the time I woke up. This is perfect for those who have trouble sleeping, want to wake up feeling rested, people who want to make the most of their sleep for recovery purposes or all three! When I received this product, I had just moved to a new city and had been having awful headaches each morning when I woke up. Once I started taking 3 pills about 30 minutes before bed, I was waking up each morning without the headaches feeling refreshed and energized. Even if I got 5 hours of sleep I felt like I had gotten 8 hours. On weekends, I can rarely sleep past 9 AM, but after taking Sleep Maxx I was sleeping till 10-11 AM.

I have taken similar supplements to Sleep Maxx in the past that have had the same claims of "deep sleep" and "vivid lucid dreams." Sleep Maxx didn't provide the vivid dreams as often where as other products have done so on a nightly basis. I also still woke up in the middle of the night (although just to check the time and fall quickly back to sleep) where as other products had me sleeping straight until my alarm. However, I will say that Sleep Maxx was great on my stomach. Some of its rival products have had me laying in bed in discomfort and even pain waiting to fall asleep. This is a huge plus for me.

As far as ingredients are concerned, the guys at Best Price Nutrition are the experts. I'll try to touch a little on some of them with my limited knowledge. First, it has the typical b6, zinc, and magnesium as similar products. It also has GABA which has been marketed as a supplement which calms you down. I'm not sure if there has been a scientific assessment of this. Finally, I noticed it contains EGCG which can counteract caffeine-induced cardiovascular activity. In theory, this should help those who take pre-workouts later in the day for an evening workout. Due to the proprietary blend, I'm not sure if there are enough mg's to effectively accomplish this. Personally, if I took Muscle Marinade late in the day, Sleep Maxx didn't really help put me to sleep. Yet, despite laying in bed for awake for an hour, I still woke up the next day feeling great.

Overall I was pleased with Sleep Maxx putting an end to my headaches and helping me wake up full of energy no matter how many hours of sleep I got. I especially enjoyed the lack of stomach discomfort as well... Just don't forget to set an alarm or you could be sleeping the day away.
