Spoon Stirred: Complete Protein Diet is INSTANTIZED. So, if you forgot your shaker cup or don't have time to get out the blender, you can just add 2 scoops of Complete Protein Diet to a large glass filled with 12-14 oz of cold water or nonfat milk. Then mix it up with a spoon until completely dissolved.

Shaker: Plan ahead and bring a shaker cup with you to the gym or office to enjoy a quick on-the-go meal. Simply add 2 scoops of Complete Protein Diet to a shaker filled with 12-14 oz of cold water or milk and shake for about 30 seconds.

Blender: For a richer, creamier shake, an electric blender is always best. To prepare, add 2 scoops of Complete Protein Diet to a blender filled with 12-14 oz of cold water or milk and 3-5 ice cubes. Cover and blend on highest speed for about 45 seconds.

Suggested Use: Consume one serving of Complete Protein Diet in place of one of your daily high-protein, whole food meals. Repeat up to three time daily. Vanilla Optimum Nutrition Complete Protein Diet
Effectiveness: Gets the job done, gives me something to consume when I'm getting hungry but want to bridge the gap until a planned meal later on. I wouldn't say that this or any other Meal Replacement really replaces a complete whole food meal, but it certainly helps to bridge the gap, and perhaps consume less throughout the day.
Taste: I don't buy supplements for taste, so I would buy this product again, but if you do buy them for the taste I would suggest you make a custom shake using this product, and not drinking it on its own (or simply NOT buy this). I suggest people take advantage of the lack of carbs and mix in some fruits, because this thing does NOT taste good at all. I just chug it as fast as possible because it doesn't taste very well, but it does what I want it to do. (Posted on November 23, 2011)
