    • The front label says " 3g net carbs", but the back label says 22g carbs. What is the reasoning behind the different measurements, and while logging nutritional intake which number do I use?

      Thank you
    • Net Carbs are represented as total carbs minus fiber and sugar alcohols. The typical Quest Bar has 22g total carbs with 17g fiber and 2g sugar alcohols (erythritol). 22-17-2= 3g net carbs. When you are logging your nutritional intake you should include all 22g of carbs.

I love Quest Bars so much. I have had the chocolate brownie, cookies and cream, and chocolate chip cookie dough and they are all great! They're great for on-the-go meals and between meal snacks. I'd say my favorite flavor out of the three I have tried would be the chocolate chip cookie dough. Anyways, I'd definitely recommend Quest Bars to anyone serious about losing weight or building muscle. Although they are expensive, there are definitely worth it! (Posted on 6/24/14)

These have replaced my Clif Builder's chocolate mint bars. It's got less sugar and carbs and tastes a lot better. These are by far the best tasting protein bars I have eaten. It's between this and the white chocolate raspberry flavor. The only bad thing about them are that they cost a lot more than the clif bars.

A box of 18 clif bars can cost $18 and these are $25 for 12 bars. (Posted on 2/19/14)

These bars can't be beat. Each new flavor they come out with is better than the last. I highly suggest you try cookie dough, white chocolate raspberry and cookies and cream. They are high in fiber and protein with low carbs and no fillers. (Posted on 2/18/14)

I'm typically not a fan of protein bars, but these are delicious!!! If it wasn't for being so expensive, I'd eat these everyday. Additionally, the ingredients are simple, nothing complicated, with Whey protein being of highest concentration (listed first). (Posted on 2/11/14)

Whoops, I accidentally just submitted a review for the Quest bars I bought on my Allmax creatine review form, haha, so since these are moderated I guess I'll go ahead and just rate the creatine on the Quest bar review form. Anyways, solid product, I've been using creatine for a while and the benefits are awesome for muscle building. Would definitely recommend, although I always recommend Allmax products anyways. These are the best tasting protein bars I have ever had. Over twenty grams of protein and fiber to help fill you up these things are in a class of their own. They taste so good I have to limit myself to just one or I could end up eating the entire box in one go. I especially enjoy the cookie dough. (Posted on 2/1/14)

In a way, I wish I never would have tasted these. A guy at my gym was raving about these bars, so I bought a box of the chocolate chip. Ever since that day, I have to eat two each day. It's getting expensive, but I don't care...gotta have them! (Posted on 1/28/14)

My favorite snack. If Im busy or want to eat something this is my go to product.
High in protein, low in carbs and fats..
Very good content profile.
One bar includes 20 grams of WPI and amazing amount of fiber.
Variety of flavors its also a benefit. My favorite is Chocolate brownie and Apple Pie.
Didn't had a chance to try Peanut Butter with Jelly but I will definitely give it a try as soon as I finish my Mixed Berry Bliss pack :-)
Overall - Great product.. Its very dense and for some hard to chew.. For me the consistency is fine.
I can put it to microwave for several minutes and it is moist and taste even better.
Price- Affordable.. Not so expansive in my opinion.. (Posted on 1/21/13)

Jeff Moriarty - I am addicted to Quest Bars. I have a box on my desk at all times. It's perfect when your hungry, or had to miss a meal, or just want a healthier dessert. they are expensive, but they are better tasting than any bar out there, hands down. What are my favorites? In order, Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough, Peanut Butter Chocolate, Vanilla Almond and then Brownie. There are a ton of other flavors, but those are the ones I buy on a monthly basis. I try to only eat one a day, but sometimes I will get two bars in. They just really satisfy hunger and sweet cravings. 10/10 for these bars!

FLAVOR UPDATE: The new Cookies and Cream flavor is amazing! Tastes just like an oreo. It's still #2 to Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough, but wow is it good. An associate of mine loves the flavor along with ice cream.

Q: How many calories in a each bar?

A: The amount of calories varies by flavor from 160-210 cal/bar. Please note fiber does contain calories as it can be converted to short chain fats via fermentation by gut bacteria and yields ~1.5-2 cal/gram (note Quest only assigns a value of 0.5-1.4 cal/gram). This is why you see most Quest bars state a net carb value far lower than what is listed on the label for total carbohydrates.

Q: Are they for bodybuilding?

A: They are not just for bodybuilders. To say so would be the same as saying chick breasts are just for bodybuilders. Theyare filling high protein, high fiber snack anyone can enjoy. They are popular amongst bodybuilders and fitness enthusiasts because they are a convenient, great tasting bar rich in both fiber and protein.

Q: What is the best tasting one?

A: This is of course subjective, however based on sales chocolate chip cookie dough is the most popular. The flavors are ranked below based on sales:

1)      Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough

2)      Chocolate Brownie

3)      Vanilla Almond Crunch

4)      White Chocolate Raspberry

Q: Do they taste good?

A: Based on popularity many people feel they do. They are soft, especially if you warm them in the microwave for ~10-15 seconds and generally have a moist texture making them very palatable. The taste described for a given flavor is right on. In other words the peanut butter tastes like real peanut butter.

Q: Do they make you poop?

A: Due to the fiber content they can help promote regularity. If you have a sensitive gut and are concerned about this you should use the flavors that do not have sugar alcohol as some find this sends them to the bathroom quickly.

Q: Do they give you gas?

A: In spite of the high fiber and sugar alcohol (in some of the flavors) most people have not reported bad gas as a side effect. When people have had gas it has been from flavors that have sugar alcohol. So if this is a concern stick with the flavors listed in the left column of the table above.

Q: Do they have soy in them?

A: They do not have soy.

Q: Do they help you lose weight?

A: In the context of a caloric deficit they can help with weight loss. Due to their high protein and fiber content they are very filling which makes maintaining a diet much easier.

Q: Do they have carbs?

A: Yes they do have carbohydrates. On the label you will notice a net carb value. This is based on 4 calories per gram of sugar and other polysaccharides and a lower value for the prebiotic fiber. Specifically Quest assigns a value of 0.4-1.4 cal/gram for prebiotic fiber.

Q: Do they have artificial sweeteners?

A: The flavors listed in the first (left) column below contain sucralose which is an artificial sweetener (commonly known by the brand name Splenda®). The flavors in the second (right) column do not contain any artificial sweeteners.
