Fitness Trainer, Lisa Lynn, joined Doctor Oz to tell you about a tiny fruit that contains a key hormone that can trick your body into thinking it’s thin to help you burn fat.
Lisa told Dr Oz that ketones came from red raspberries and was very healthy, and added bonus, they helped to burn fat much more quickly. The even better news is that it worked for all of the body types Dr Oz discussed earlier (bottom, belly, thighs upper body).
Dr Oz on Raspberry Ketone Supplement
Doctor Oz used a balloon sample to demonstrate how this worked. He had 2 blown up red balloons (fat cells) and placed them in liquid nitrogen, which acts like raspberry ketone. Inside the liquid nitrogen, the fat cells gave off their fat and deflated (became smaller.) When Dr Oz took the balloons (cells) out of the liquid nitrogen, they became full once again.
Why not eat fresh or frozen raspberries instead? Dr Oz explained that you would need to eat 90 lbs of raspberries to get the equivalent. (I don’t know about you, but I’m not THAT hungry!)
For best results, start by taking 100 mg at breakfast. Go to 200 mg at lunch if that doesn’t work.
Dr Oz showed the before and after images of 2 women who had taken these pills. I had to admit, they did look great. Lisa told Dr Oz that you would need to take these pills at least a couple of months before seeing a result.
Dr Oz felt it important to mention that these pills are worth experimenting with, however, you should still continue to eat healthy and work out every day.
Studies have shown that raspberry ketones hold promise for fat loss. In one study mice were fed a calorie rich high-fat diet supplemented with raspberry ketones. After 10 weeks it was shown that the raspberry ketone supplementation prevented both subcutaneous and abdominal (visceral) fat gain, and also protected against development of fatty liver.
These anti-obesity effects are beneficial, since abdominal fat (the type of fat that causes protruding bellies even in otherwise "skinny" people) is strongly associated with obesity-related complications like the metabolic syndrome, Type 2 diabetes and coronary artery disease, even in the absence of classical risk factors.
The association between abdominal adiposity and accelerated atherosclerosis has been shown to be independent of age, overall obesity or the amount of subcutaneous fat. Thus, raspberry ketones can help you get in better shape and improve your health.
