Before we get started, thank you for everybody who joined us for the prohormone show the other night. Had a great turnout, tons of questions, loved the activity we got from you guys and a lot of you guys wanted us to continue doing that. So we'll try to do those on a more regular basis and we'll also link to down below if you didn't happen to catch the original one, you can watch the replay. So check that out. Tons of questions, live information, really good show.

Brad:

Honestly, if you're someone who has a lot of questions about prohormones, watch that video because I was watching as a viewer from home. I would come in every now and it seems like every question that we get asked on the phones was getting asked. It seemed like it would be good. It was what, two hours?

John:

I think for everything you ever want to know about prohormones.

Brad:

Yeah. So if you use prohormones, if you're thinking about using prohormones, if you've been using them for a long time, really good resource. You had Jeff asking the questions. Edwin and Jordan, who were both super well versed in pretty much everything with working out nutrition, prohormones, everything, they went over so much of this stuff, it seemed like it'd be a really good tool to just watch start to finish if you want every one of your questions answered.

John:

Absolutely.

Brad:

But beyond that today we have, it's from Raw, but it's the C BUM line of protein, the Itholate protein. Have you tried the other flavors of this?

John:

So you know what? I've actually tried the vanilla oatmeal. Tried it as a protein shake and it also tried it, we had a little protein snack bake off here that we all did and I think me and a couple other people used that one. Worked really well for baking too. It is a more natural protein, so it's not going to have all the flavors that a chemical protein will have, which sometimes isn't great. But I actually liked it, just a very toned down -

Brad:

For what it is.

John:

Not really sweet but good flavor.

Brad:

Yeah. And then for what's in it, whey protein isolate. The chocolate chip is sugar, chocolate, cocoa butter, milk fat, soy. Then there's cocoa powder, silicon, which is an anti foaming agent. Different gums for thickeners, natural flavors, sucralose. So there isn't artificial sweetener, but the flavoring itself, some people aren't a fan of having artificial, is natural. And I think that's probably why they do what? Vanilla oatmeal and what's the other one?

John:

Cinnamon cereal or cinnamon crunch.

Brad:

Cinnamon crunch, cinnamon cereal. These are all things that you can naturally do. Something that might be hard is like ...

John:

Birthday cake.

Brad:

Yeah, Birthday cake.

John:

Now this is a little, not that 10, 20, 30 calories matter, but a little bit high in calories for an isolate, 150 versus -

Brad:

Actually, yeah 150. And that may come down to the flavoring because they're using not artificial stuff, they're using probably actual chocolate chips, which I assume is where some of that comes in from. It smells good. It smells like baking on a holiday.

John:

Yeah, it smells like real cacao or cocoa powder, whatever.

Brad:

All right.

John:

Now have you tried his other proteins?

Brad:

I think I tried the one vanilla one with you actually a long time ago. And then it's how many grams? It's 25 grams of protein, three grams of fat, one carb. So it's three grams of fat, which is going to be from the chocolate chips I think is going to be where you're going to get those extra calories from. Every gram of fat is nine calories, so it adds up quick.

John:

We're on a topic of more natural supplements. That's one thing I've noticed a lot of people are looking for less artificial flavors, sweeteners, colorings. And for those of you out there who are vegans who have trouble with lactose, the farm, or I'm sorry, not farm fed accents, but plant fed.

Brad:

Plant fed, yeah.

John:

Recently came out one of the better plant based proteins -

Brad:

Probably the best one I've ever tried.

John:

And that one I believe is all natural flavoring, sweeteners, coloring, everything.

Brad:

And then one thing with anything natural like this, if it's naturally sweet and flavored, all that stuff, go into with your correct expectations. I think what a lot of people do is they go, "Oh, this doesn't taste like exactly what I want it to taste like." You have to weigh your options of what you're getting versus what it is. There's a reason that they don't already naturally flavor stuff. It's not really to save money, it's because people usually don't like the flavor of naturally sweetened and flavored stuff.

John:

And it looks like there's actually, like you said, actual chocolate chips in the bottom of there.

Brad:

Oh yeah. There are. Might be hard for us to get one right now, but I'll go digging. All right. Cheers. And this is mint chocolate chip. Holy shit.

John:

That's fantastic.

Brad:

That is really good.

John:

It's probably the best mint chocolate chip I've ever had for a protein powder.

Brad:

Yeah, yeah, for sure.

John:

What's funny is you said temper your expectations. This is just as good as any chemically flavored.

Brad:

Holy shit.

John:

It's maybe not quite as sweet or creamy, but this is basically like a melted mint chocolate chip ice cream.

Brad:

Yeah. No, that's amazing.

John:

And I'm sure if you did it with coconut milk, almond milk, oat milk, regular milk, whatever, even better.

Brad:

And one thing that a lot of places do with mint is it's just like a fucking peppermint bomb in your mouth. It's really not like that. It's a good balance.

John:

It's very natural.

Brad:

Yeah. That is so good. That's so good.

John:

That's awesome. I think 10 out of 10.

Brad:

Yeah, for sure. That might be one of the best proteins I've had.

John:

And it's funny, you can always tell, I know we have a counter in our kitchen here and everything after being sampled, our samples go over there and some things two years from now we'll still be there and other things will be gone by next week.

Brad:

Be one scoop gone.

John:

Yeah, this is not going to last past next Friday.

Brad:

Yeah, I think the Jet Puff went quick. This is definitely going to go quick. We can't let anyone else know it's good.

John:

No.

Brad:

Got to be like, "Yeah, it was all right." Yeah. Wow. Really, really good. Yeah, right when we both took a sip we were like, "Oh shit." Yeah, really good review. Like John said, 10 out of 10. It's not super light flavored like you think it was. It's not over the top. It's a good balance. I can see myself getting a tub of this.

John:

You know what else I really like about this? I've been a little bit turned off of whey proteins lately just because everything I get that way after taste and none at all.

Brad:

And I wonder because the mint does linger a little bit, but again, it's not like sometimes it just feels like an essential oil in your mouth and you can just feel it breathing. It's really not like that. You can still taste the mint for a while, which is good. It tastes clean and maybe that's something that will take away some of that whey protein flavor. But yeah, really, really good. Again, 25 grams of isolate protein, naturally flavored uses sucralose, so of all the artificial sweeteners, really good sweetener to use. There's really no study saying it's bad. It's a good halfway natural thing. I highly recommend it. We have it up on the site right now. I just went back to get this tub. I think we've got maybe probably a dozen tubs left.

John:

Their stuff tends to go quick.

Brad:

Yeah. I was going to say, if you're thinking about getting it, I highly recommend getting it for one. Two, get it quick because they run out of stock very, very fast of stuff and then we have to wait for them to produce it and we're out of stock for a long time. So if we have it in stock and you see it and you're thinking about it, get it before it goes out because who knows when it's going to be back.

John:

We'll link to this one down below, but awesome protein, highly recommend it.

Brad:

Yeah, for sure.

John:

And we'll get at you guys on the next video.

Brad:

All right. Thanks, guys.

John:

Later.
