Brad:
Trying to outdo my [crosstalk 00:00:36]. We alluded to in a previous video that will be out by the time this one's out, we are going to have a sale on NutraBio's Classic Whey, the Irish cream whiskey for the weekend before St. Patrick's Day, which is this weekend, right?

John:
That is this upcoming weekend.

Brad:
What we have, we just got it in, is that actual flavor. We're going to do a little taste test on it now, so we can kind of show if it's worth doing or not.

John:
We talked about this a little bit in the other day, NutraBio puts out some kind of funky flavors. They got root beer float, pistachio. They put out some interesting ones, big fan of their protein. A lot of companies are putting out some interesting flavors. I saw Blackstone dropped a butterscotch today.

Brad:
[inaudible 00:01:18].

John:
Dropped a butterscotch today and they dropped a pound cake earlier in the week, so interesting flavors are coming out left and right lately.

Brad:
Then as far as the Classic Whey, I'm pretty sure we've gone over it before. The label, as John pointed out, they kind of hit a sparkle over the calories. You can't really see, but every scoop is 130 calories, three carbs, two sugar, and then there is 25 actual grams of protein, but the whey protein concentrate, you'll get 32.47 grams, which then standardizes down to 25 grams. You do get a pretty good amount of protein in there. There also is ... Is this something you would ever make?

John:
I was just pointing it out to Jenny and Carly. I think it's kind of cool when brands include recipes. A lot of people are really into functional foods. I know in the past, I think we had made either shamrock pancakes or maybe a red velvet pancakes in the past. I could see myself making something like that.

John:
As soon as we opened this up, it smells amazing. I don't know if you had taken [crosstalk 00:02:20]. I got powder all over my face, but it smells amazing.

Brad:
That does smell good.

John:
It smells exactly like a Bailey's. I used to be a big fan of Jamaica. They have something called Sangster rum cream that's basically like a Bailey's. I used to put that in my coffee. I'm excited about this one. Kind of a weird flavor. You wouldn't think it would necessarily maybe good.

Brad:
They also did my favorite flavor of NutraBio so far, wow, that gets really foamy, doesn't it, was the pistachio and then they also have root beer float. Both of those have been really, really good flavors.

John:
I tried the pistachio, really liked that one. I have not tried the root beer float.

Brad:
This is just a foam bomber.

John:
This has a pretty healthy sized scoop. I'm thinking this is going to be really kind of rich and thick and tasty.

Brad:
All of the concentrates usually are.

John:
This is going to be a limited edition. I don't know how many tubs we have in back, but when it's gone, it's gone.

Brad:
One time [crosstalk 00:03:15].

John:
This is the second year they've done it, but you won't be able to get your hands on it at least until next year.

Brad:
It's just pure foam. That's good.

John:
That is good. It did take on a very, it's almost like a malted milkshake in the sense that it's just like froth.

Brad:
No, that is really good though. I like that a lot.

John:
That was interesting. I think it's just flavoring. I'm not sure how much it'll help with nutrition or whatever, but I did notice blue spirulina in there.

Brad:
That's definitely going to be the color as you guys will see with another video coming out is a crazy color. It's really good. It's almost like the most unique texture protein I've ever had. It's not just like the thin isolate that people are used to it. It is very, very different.

John:
You know what this sort of reminds me of, although better? Obviously you can't really compare plant and animal-based proteins, but was it the mocaccino, the mocha [crosstalk 00:04:17]? That was NutraBio as well?

Brad:
Yeah, it was.

John:
NutraBio also has a plant protein, fantastic. We really liked it. The flavors were spot on. I think we agreed the best texture was whatever that coffee chocolate flavor is, mocaccino.

Brad:
You get that [crosstalk 00:04:31].

John:
Very similar kind of frothiness and thickness to it.

Brad:
It's almost like the ... I mean, I don't know if there is any coffee here. You can kind of almost taste a little coffee in it. Maybe that is what the foamy aspect is. I don't know. It's good though. I really like it. The first sip was pretty good and then it kept growing on me and growing on me.

John:
I wasn't really going into this expecting to like it, but I actually think that's very, very good.

Brad:
I would almost, since it is concentrate and kind of milky, if you have coffee, I would almost consider putting a scoop of that in there.

John:
I could see that. That's kind of a big category. A lot of the MCTs and kind of keto products are starting to do coffee creamers and collagen and creamers and things like that.

Brad:
You know what? I don't have it on. It kind of looks like one of our brick and mortar stores is Capital Nutrition. It's like an Uncle Sam. That's like the exact Uncle Sam [crosstalk 00:05:20].

John:
In the marketing for this weekend, I was going to put both guys kind of [inaudible 00:05:24]. I was thinking the exact same thing.

Brad:
That'd be a good one. No, I would definitely rank this in the same category as the pistachio, as the root beer, kind of like an interesting, weird flavor, but very, very good. I'm actually buying this stuff so I have no problem going through two pounds of this. I'll probably go through it very easily.

John:
Again, only a two pound tub so you're not committing to an interesting or unique flavor for that long. But I definitely wouldn't mind going through a cup of this stuff.

Brad:
Also with whey protein concentrate, something that a lot of people are worried about is a lot of times, if it's concentrated, it's usually yields very low protein buts NutraBio, and a lot other brands, they use something called WPC 80, that's whey protein concentrate 80%, meaning 80% of it is going to be actual protein, which is why 32.47 grams at 80% gives you 25 grams of protein.

Brad:
They switched cameras. The other battery died. I'm not sure where it left off, but what I was about to say was normally on tubs of NutraBio, there's a list on the back that says no additives, no fillers, no artificial, whatever. They go down the line and they're pretty true to that, even though they don't have the list on here. They use natural and artificial flavoring, but they use blue spirulina as the dye. The dyes are something that messes up a lot of people and they don't do that in any of their products, which is really, really good. We maybe something else in there, but I think that's about it. Do you have anything else you want to add?

John:
No. No, fantastic protein, available for a limited time. Depending on the timing of this, they might be able to catch a sale on this in the coming days. This one will likely not be around again until next year if they do it again. If you want to get your hands on one of these, grab it now and we'll link to that in the description box below.

Brad:
All right. Thanks guys.

John:
Later guys.
