Clean and clear energy

This is one of my go to pre work outs. I switch between a few and then take a while off all of them, but this one always stays in my rotation. I like the Gold Standard Pre Work Out because it provides a good energy and focus but yet is a very clean and clear energy. I do not get any jitters or sweats from this like I have with others. It mixes well and all the flavors I've tried are pretty good.

I first tried pre workout as a sample given from a previous order. The packet mixed well and the taste was fine, as expected from ON. I never felt a rush of energy or the the pre workout start to kick in. Following my warm up and a few sets, I could tell I was lifting with more ease than normal. After already completing some exercises I began to keep adding weight and get new PR's. I was in love with the product, so I decided to go buy my own container. However, nothing seemed to match that first time trying Pre Workout. Maybe the sample pack had something else in it, or was more concentrated than the container. Either way it still gives a decent overall workout, pump, energy... but I was disappointed I couldn't match my first trial and probably will not get this product again.

Good product

I am a very big fan of preworkout before going to the gym. This one is pretty good, not the best ive had, but definitly not the worst. It mixes up really good like most of optimum nutritions products. When i do buy this i always get the watermelon flavor. It is a really good tasting drink. This preworkout does give me the needed energy to get through a grueling workout. It is also a little higher priced than others that work just as good. Overall its a pretty good product if you can afford it.

Gets the job done

Gives decent energy because of caffeine, but maybe a bit low in beta alanine for my taste. Also low (like most preworkouts, mind you) in citrulline malate. It doesn't have too much caffeine and neither too little. When it comes to stimulants it seem straight forward. May get you a bit jittery at high doses which takes away from the focus (addition of l-theanine could aid in this). Too much creatine monohydrate too in my opinion. If you really look at the science nobody really need 6 grams a day which a double dose would give, but they do need at least 3 grams of citrulline malate, arguably more like double that. Don't know if that says most about the average preworkout or the quality of this preworkout. This is lacking in the good stuff, but has more than most preworkouts. Also if people wanna avoid acesulfam potassium this is not for you. Addition of ginseng I did like as it really benefits dilation of blood vessels, virility and energy. Not too many preworkouts utilize this, which I think is a mistake. Good on you, ON! All in all it did its job, but not sure if I would chose it again as I have many to go through to find my favorite. A decent formula, one of the better actually, would maybe recommend it.

Great Tastes

I have try samples of this product twice. i had the watermelon flavor which tasted fantastic. It gave me huge amounts of energy and great pump during workout, i would definitely recommend.

Just okay

First time I tried this was a sample and I thought I liked, so I bought the product. After taking it the first week I realized that it was just not enough for me. I never felt like it hit me at the gym, even after taking 2 scoops. I did love the taste and thought that the price was pretty reasonable. If your new to pwo or maybe less stim tolerant this would be a good product for you.

Overall a good new product from ON

I bought this pre-workout as soon as it came out expecting the same great product from ON and it did not disappoint at all. Good energy and pump in the gym and no drop off after the workout had ended. Taste great also!

this preworkout is ...gold

As I said above I would trade gold for this preworkout because its just that good only optimum nutrition product I like it's better than mpact by Dymatize and I would label this preworkout gold standard it deserves that's name and if you buy from here you could get a free shaker bottle so I recommend buying for cheap and free shaker bottom here at best price nutrition!!!:)

Similar to many other Optimum products, this is just an average product. It may be better than many pre-workouts out there, but I don't think pre-workouts are overly essential. If you are a fan of pre-workouts, definitely try them out! If I was to suggest an energy supplement, I would suggest trying Amino Energy.

The taste is really good

The taste of the new Gold Standard Pre-Workout product is really good. It taste like kool aid. It gives me really good pump and helps me focus in the gym. I also really like this product because it contains creatine. This is an awesome product and the taste is amazing. I def recommend this product!
