Optimum Nutrition Platinum Hydro Whey is ON's Premium Whey Protein. It is very high quality and is hydrolyzed meaning even better absorption. This protein is ideal either first thing in the morning or immediately following a workout.
I was given 2 samples by ON to try and here is my review of it.
I tried my first sample mixed into my PW work with some carbs. Then my 2nd samples I mixed into my oatmeal the following day for breakfast.
Both times I was disappointed in the taste. The first thing I noticed was that it was very bland. It wasn't nearly as delicious as some other Cookies & Cream protein powders I've used. I feel ON Cookies & Cream Casein is AlOT better.
Secondly it didn't really taste much like Cookies & Cream and had a strange aftertaste.
It wasn't bad to drink but certainly wasn't anything special either.
No problems here whatsoever. Mixes great without clumping or not dissolving properly.
I know the protein itself is high quality and all but I wish the taste was better. The price point is also a bit steep for my liking..
