We're excited about today's video. This is the first V1 Nutra supplement we've brought in. I've been following the Conlon James or Conlon Paul on Instagram for a while. Love his reviews and things like that. The V1 line seems to have some pretty cool stuff in it. I'm really hoping we'll bring in their protein. I'm a big fan of the clear proteins. And they have a starburst and a pear apple that looked pretty good. But in today's video, we're going to be taking a look at their, probably get this wrong, I'm not sure if it's V1X, V1X or V9. But it is their prodigy workout. I'm bad with Roman numerals.

Jeff:

I knew the Roman numeral, but hey, if you guys know what it is, post it down below and let us know. But either way, we got a lot of requests for this, a lot of people searching for it on the site, so I'm happy that we brought it in. I love trying new pre-workouts, especially with really good formulas like this one.

John:

Really good dosages and some interesting ingredients, like the avocado kits.

Jeff:

And one thing I just noticed here that it's jaw-breaker flavor.

John:

It's a unique flavor too.

Jeff:

You remember the big jawbreakers when you were a kid?

John:

Like the one's the size of the baseball?

Jeff:

Yes. But once you finally bit into it.

John:

I say you lick it until your tongue bled, then you throw it out. You never really get anywhere with them.

Jeff:

I think I got into one a few times, but yes. So all right, so guys, so this is broken down, 40 servings and 20 servings, depending on if you do one scoop or two scoops. I'm a two-scooper. This has a good amount of caffeine, so you may be a one-scooper.

John:

I don't [inaudible 00:01:44].

Jeff:

But I know you don't like to overdo it. So first, we're going to go through here. So the first blend here, it's not even a blend. The first transparent formula here is the muscle enhancement matrix, and this is made up of a lot of pump ingredients. So this includes L-citrulline, which we've talked about a ton. That's great for muscle building, or not muscle building, but muscle pump, which in turn can build muscle, and endurance. So with two scoops, you're going to get 8,000 milligrams, which is a really great dose.

John:

A really hefty dose.

Jeff:

Yes. Normally we recommend between six and eight, so this is the top of the range there. Next you get the beta-alanine. Now beta-alanine, not John's favorite, that's the thing that gives you the tingles, but it does help buffer lactic acid so that you can bust out a few more reps. We've been seeing more companies using heavier doses of the beta-alanine.

John:

Standard's like 3.2. A lot of people are using 5, 5600.

Jeff:

And that's exactly what you get in here. You get 5,000 milligrams with the two scoops.

John:

Another nice thing about that, some recent research has shown that you need more than that, 3.2 grams, so you're going to get much more of that endurance benefit from this.

Jeff:

Exactly. I'm afraid they're going to keep on going. That tingle's really going to hit you.

John:

Ten grams of beta-alanine.

Jeff:

Next one up is betaine anhydrous, 4,000 milligrams.

John:

That's one of your favorite ingredients. So, that's like-

Jeff:

I normally use [inaudible 00:03:03].

John:

And that's like one, 1.5 grams, maybe two.

Jeff:

Yeah, you're getting heavy dose of this. And what I like about this, it's great for strength output and power output. I used to recommend it to a lot of Crossfitters that were doing heavy lifts. Next is something I've never seen before, but the R-III Tonic, which is a trademark blend of creatine aminohydrate, L-glutamine and epicatechins, which you don't see too much in pre-workouts.

John:

I think the only other thing even similar to that, I know Killer Labs, I forget if it was a pre-workout or amino, but they used to put Laxogenin in it and I thought that was really [inaudible 00:03:41]

Jeff:

That was intro.

John:

I don't think I've ever seen epicatechins in a pre-workout, so that's neat. And you were talking about the image of the bull that's like-

Jeff:

Yeah, you've seen that huge bull.

John:

[inaudible 00:03:50] full. They shut down the signaling to tell your muscles to stop growing.

Jeff:

Exactly. So this in turn could help your body increase the amount of muscle that it can. And last is Elnorvaline, which again is great for pumps vascularity. I think it's got some other good effects to it as well. But you get 200 milligrams there, so that's the muscle enhancement matrix. John, take it away.

John:

Next, we got the Neuro-Mindful Complex. And again, these are all fully transparent blends, if you want to call it a blend. We got two grams of tyrosine. Normally you see about one, so it's going to act as a neutral, but it also helps with hydration. We got a thousand milligrams of choline, so good dose of the choline there.

We got 500 milligrams of DMAE and then we got a hundred milligrams of the coffee fruit extract. And these are all premium branded versions of the ingredients, Cognetic, Que, I never how to say that one. And pretty much all of these ingredients in that neuro-mindful matrix are going to help improve mood-

Jeff:

Focus.

John:

Help improve focus, motivation, things along those lines.

Jeff:

All the good stuff. Everything that you want in the work workout. You now I mean? You want to feel good when you're working out. So finally is a Euphoric Stimplex. Now this combination of ingredients is going to help you, give you energy, going to help you, again, give you focus, make you feel good.

So first of all is caffeine, of course, with the two scoops you get 300 milligrams. So you're getting a nice heavy dose. If that's too much for you, move it down to one scoop and you only get 150 milligrams. But then you get the di-caffeine malate with is in... God, I cannot even read that, Infinergy.

John:

Oh, Infinergy brand.

Jeff:

Infinergy, my eyes, just getting older here.

John:

It's going to be a slower acting caffeine that'll keep you from crashing.

Jeff:

So, that'll last. Sometimes you see people drinking their caffeine drinks during their workout. So this is a slow acting, so you don't have to do that. Theobromine a 100 milligrams, that can enhance the effects of caffeine and everything, make you feel good.

Then Synapsis, which I've never heard of, well that trademark name before, and I asked you about it earlier and you mentioned that it was the Synapsis, the citrus...

John:

Citrus aurantium, which also known as bitter orange.

Jeff:

Exactly.

John:

A couple years ago when a lot of companies started removing DMHA from their pre-workouts, they would swap it out for the citrus aurantium.

Jeff:

And finally, oh my favorite, Alpha-Yohimbine, so that-

John:

How much we have?

Jeff:

Not bad. It's like two milligrams.

John:

Oh, that's it. That's not [inaudible 00:06:29]. That's almost standard for pre-workout nowadays. So it's not going to drive you crazy.

Jeff:

When you take too much of it, you get these chills down your neck. It's just terrible. But Bitten here, it's going to be fine. So really hefty doses, great product. I like that we're starting to see all these great new brands come out, and they're really putting some heavy dosage into their products.

John:

Quality ingredients, good formulas, good dosages.

Jeff:

Definitely. So guys, again, this is, I'm going to try to spell it out here. V1 Nutra, either V1X V9, V1X Prodigy pre-workout. If you've taken it before, we'd love to hear what you think about it, post it down below. Or if you have any other questions about these ingredients, John and I are here to answer them all the time.
