In a recent study in the Journal of Applied Physiology, the oral prohormone 1-androstene-3b-ol-17-one which converts in the liver to 1-testosterone was just as potent as testosterone enanthate, the gold standard for testosterone products.
Although few studies are done on dietary supplements, this compound was the subject of a clinical study at the West Texas A&M University, the California Baptist University, and the
University of Texas at Austin. The 9 males in the study gained an average lean mass of 10.4 lbs and an increase in strength of 92.2 lbs in total load on bench/squat/deadlift. For a prohormone, these are significant gains. The researchers concluded that this supplement contributed to robust improvements in muscle mass and strength. 1-androstene-3b-ol-17-one definitely packs a punch.

How Does It Work?
Decabolin is also known as 19-NorAndrost-4-ene-3b-ol, 17-one Decanoate. This is a new compound that goes through a two step conversion in the body. It first converts to 19norandrostenediol, and then to 19nortestosterone, also known as Nandrolone. “19nor” means that a methyl group was taken out of testosterone. This change in the structure is a good thing, because it reduces DHT and estrogen related side effects. Decabolin is the prohormone of choice for athletes and bodybuilders because of its minimal side effects and stackability.
