What Flavor is Tiger Blood? What Does Tiger Blood Taste Like?

Tiger's Blood is a flavor which has been making the rounds as a flavor option on various preworkouts, aminos and other supplements for the past year or two, however recently more and more supplement companies and energy drink companies have been rolling out Tigers Blood flavors of their supplements. Most recently Glaxon Supps rolled out a Tiger's Blood flavor across four of their supplementing including their Specimen Preworkout, Plasm Surge Non-Stim Preworkout, Xeno Aminos and their sleep aid Tranquility. Tiger's Blood is not a brand new flavor though, many supplement brands have been using the Tiger's Blood flavor for years including supplements like Redcon1 Grunt, Swole AF's Hulf AF, RYSE Supplements Blackout Preworkout, Apollon Assasin, ProSupps Hyde Preworkout, MAN Iso Amino and a good dozen other supplements and supplement brands. Despite this being a fairly popular flavor I personally never really knew what Tiger's Blood was, nor could I nail down exactly what it tasted like. So in today's post we're going to look at the history behind the Tigers Blood flavor as well as letting you guys know what Tiger's Blood tastes like and what makes up the flavor profile. 

While Tigers Blood in recent years and recent months has become a really popular flavor, this flavor has been around for decades. The history of the Tigers Blood flavor is often mis-attributed to the actor Charlie Sheen. This is likely based on a quote of his during his crazy phase where he said "I'm different, I have a different constitution, I have a different brain, I have a different heart. I got tiger blood man". The truth is the Tiger Blood flavor has nothing to do with Charlie Sheen. 

While the origin of the flavor name Tiger's Blood are somewhat of a mystery, it's generally agreed that back in the 1940's a Shaved Ice stand in Hawaii invented this flavor and flavor name, and over the years it's become one of the most popular flavors of shaved ice, and in recent years has become a popular flavor of supplements, snacks, ice cream and drinks.

While the Tigers Blood flavor can vary from region to region, the official Tigers Blood flavor is made up of Watermelon, Strawberry and Coconut in a perfect ratio. Tigers Blood is the perfect combination of Watermelon and Strawberry flavors with a slight hint of coconut. If the flavor is done well the coconut adds to the flavor without overpowering it. Despite many thinking that the Tiger's Blood flavor has cherry in it, it actually does not contain cherry. That said the Tigers Blood flavor will vary at certain shaved ice shops and in certain regions, so it's possible some versions do contain some cherry flavoring.
