It gets me through, I get a very good workout even on days I’m not feeling it. At the end I leave the gym feeling great.
Wasn’t the same as the original, the taste wasn’t very good and the amp wasn’t there.
OK, first, I am 43, 6 feet, 236 pounds in morning, and stay 5-7% body fat, bodybuilding since a teen. My test of testosterone in blood this year 2018 was 735ng/dl, so for my age in higher end of normal range. I usually do not have much problem in the gym. As a teen this was in all the major bodybuilding publications, sating things like "Increase bench by 8%", "More Endurance", etc. People used to call it "Orange Crush", because they could crush their old records on it, and it crushed your body in a good way. I wanted to try it out! What surprised me, is that there is protein in it! Which makes for a great pre-workout, a little protein cannot hurt! I have always exercised on a full stomach anyway. I followed the directions, and in about 30 minutes I felt very warm, and like more blood was flowing everywhere, including my head. It made me want to lift. I am no expert on why it made me feel this way, but, it seemed almost as if a pro-hormone to me. I have limited experience. I easily could lift what my goal was in the gym for the day, and easily added two sets for no other reason than I was not tired out like usual. So, this really does what it says in my experience. Again, I took this while taking no other supplements at the same time. It is not super super powerful, that if you are already taking a lot of supplements that this will overpower them would be my guess, but certainly there is some energy/focus added by taking it. Even after the gym I felt that it might have some fat burning properties. I definitely recommend it alone, but would not take it with any caffeine. It is strong enough by itself. That is my experience. I do not remember there being DMAA or DMHA in it back in the 1990s. I looked for an old advertisement and it did not say either of those ingredients. It is also lower price now, because the same size bottle was 59.99 in an old paper catalog I have. I prefer this to a super strong pre-workout powder, because no jitters after. It assisted me in my workout and pushed me further as advertised. So instead of 4 rounds of push-ups to failure, I could do 6 rounds to failure. That is "as advertised" to me! Just read the description, and maybe try half a serving to start if you are new to it. Just be careful. Do not go overboard, you do not need to with it. It is very strong by itself.
Fast enough once they ship!!!!
It was good.peraonally Not for me. It is a good product for many
Thank you for the honest review. You're right though. Ultimate Orange is like politics in the US, 1/2 of the users love, the other 1/2 don't care for it.
A true giant of greatness, Ultimate Orange is the king of energy drinks! Fortified with a magnitude of vitamins, minerals, and energizers, Ultimate Orange will not only power you through your workout, it'll keep you going all day! And it tastes great! If you crave energy and power, Ultimate Orange is for you.
I was very disappointed with this product. I bought this quite a few years ago and was able to get a really good workout. I will be looking for something different next time
Hey Glenn - The original has ephedra (the illegal kind) so it did pack more of punch. While DMHA is a great ingredient, it's not going to be as strong as the original.
100mg caffeine not enough, and not proper ratio paired with the 25mg ephedrine. Tastes bad. DMHA not equivalent to DMMA.
Ultimate Orange was was pretty good. It's right up there with the best pre workout supplements.
worth the money though!
So I'm going to age myself on this review, but I am old enough to remember the original formula from the 90's. Back then, it tasted like a mixture of Tang and Gasoline. Hi-Tech has done an awesome job on the flavoring and it tastes just like an Orange Creamsicle ! Its an open label formula, which is pretty cool, and back to the days of real food and vitamins and minerals for nutrients. Its a classic, and Hi-Tech has done a great job bringing it back. Not the hardest hitting preworkout, but a food type preworkout instead of all the compounds of today.
Great Product. I used it back in the day when it came still just as Good
At first I didn't know about the smell...really smelled like nothing, and then I tasted it. Tastes just like an orange creamsicle. Good energy. Not as strong as the Mesomorph I am used to, but I think it has to do with me not feeling the tingles from the beta alanine in that pre-workout. I know it has less caffeine. I am going to start using this for most of my workouts, and the mesomorph for my harder workouts. 4 out of 5 is what I think about it. Good...but not great.
I never tried the original, though my brother talked about how awesome it was. Right now I am taking mesomorph, but took ultimate orange twice now and absolutely love it. It's really different. The taste is very unique and the texture is different. Could be the protein?! Not sure, but it hitz hard as ****. Probably going to go back and forth with the mesomorph, cuz I like that one too. But this is a keeper.
