When is the Best Time to Take R-ALA?

Several studies suggest R-ALA bioavailability is greatly reduced after food intake, therefore it's recommended to take R-ALA at least two hours after eating or 30 minutes before a meal. 

What's the Difference Between R-ALA and ALA?

R-ALA is the form found naturally in the body where as S-ALA is a synthetic byproduct created during the production of ALA. When choosing a supplement R-ALA is superior as studies suggest the naturally occuring form is more bioavailable.
