I love them. I have tried many different brands and flavors, and these are one of my favorites
After a hiatus from Quest bars, I have begun to order them again. When Quest changed their recipe to eliminate IMOs there was a huge backlash. The texture was what really changed, as bars seemed to become drier and harder. They tweaked their revision (still without IMOs) in response to the feedback. Of course, that was so long ago that I don't have any of the original recipe to directly compare to, but I can say that I now really enjoy the CCCD flavour again. I'll give the other flavours a shot over time, but I feel it is safe to buy again. It isn't a chocolate covered bar, and that is what I enjoy most about Quest. They are '*****' in that what you see is what you get. These really do have a cookie dough like quality (though not as maleable and soft). I recommend them once again!
Trying the new recipe Apple Pie, it was much of the same of the original. Macros are different, and it lacks a bit of the chewiness that the original recipe had, but it is by no means a bad bar. If you tried the new recipe and found it lacking, try this latest one. I messaged Quest on Facebook about differentiating between the first, poorly received revision, and the second, and they had this to say: "play it safe and just look for 12/1/2016 expiration dates and onward"
Quest changed their recipe and suffered huge backlash for it. I had heard that they changed it a second time to try and rectify issues with the flavor, and so decided now would be a safe time to try it again. The macros are different, and the Banana Nut is now higher cal (by like 20), but tastes much the same as what I remember. I contacted Quest on FB about how to see if you have the latest recipe and they said: "play it safe and just look for 12/1/2016 expiration dates and onward"
I like these bars because they are sweetened with stevia, a natural sweetener, rather than sucrose. My favorites are the strawberry cheesecake, chocolate pb, and coconut cashew, especially microwaved for 30 seconds or broiled for 5 minutes. The dark chocolate chunk is the only chunky flavor in here, and I find it tasting ok. I personally find these a bit salty after eating the whole bar, so breaking it up into pieces is better than biting it out of the bar.
I ordered a box of Pumpkin Pie, and found them so good that I ordered another two! I really like the taste of these, however maybe three was too much as they seem to get stale from sitting for a bit too long. Hopefully Quest will make them again this year and work on the recipe a little, as the middle does get a bit hard (and the outside prevents you from being able to microwave it like other flavours). But freshly delivered, these were amazing. I recommend them by the box if you don't have as much self control as I do!
Quest bars are probably the seniors of all protein bars with fiber being the major component of the bar, resulting in low net carbs for those on a low carb or carb conscious diet. I especially like the apple pie and al the chunky flavors like cookies and creme, mint chocolate chip, and smores. They really nailed each flavor! Best if broiled or made into "cookies". ;)
I really like the banana nut muffin and lemon creme pie, they really live up to their names! Especially delicious when microwaved or broiled! I also really like the chunky ones such as cookies and creme and mint chocolate chip and smores, where they actually have chunks of cookies and chocolate in it! These bars are full of protein, healthy fats, and fiber.
Quest bars are my absolute favorite protein bars! I love most Quest flavors with apple pie and strawberry cheesecake and cinnamon roll being my favorites. The only flavor I haven't so far is the coconut cashew. Other than that, I love to keep these on hand for when I'm craving something sweet or if I'm on the go! They are high in protein, low fat, high in fiber and they are delicious all by themselves!! I know a lot of people make desserts out of them by cutting them up or heating them but I think they are perfect just the way they are. Super addictive.. I could down a whole pan of cinnamon rolls or have a protein packed quest bar... quest keeps me on track!
Well as far as protein bars go, this is hands down the best one on the market. I had jumped around buying different ones in the past. But after trying quest, i will not buy any other brand. I usually get the apple pie, which is sbsolutly delicious. I have tried other flavors, and most of the other ones are pretty darn good too. And as far as fat and calories go, they are right amongst the best in those catagories also. So if ur looking for a good protein bar, this is definitly the one.
I keep quest bars on hand all the time they have the best flavours in my opinion over all protein bars. my favourite is the chocolate cookie dough so good haha and the price is right on with everyone else so many chocolate items i bring one to work with me each and every day ...m protein gotta love quest bars !
This is the absolute best protein bar on the market. The taste is amazing. It has quite a bit of protein and very little carbs and fat. I have had the apple pie and the cookies and cream and they were both fantastic. Every time I get these right away I eat too many of them too fast. These are great for snacking on throughout the day to help get your daily protein intake goal.
Quest changed their formulas recently to much backlash. The new formula is drier than the old one, a bit more chalky, but it is still a good tasting bar. Remember to recount your macros though as the new formula C&C are a bit different on the nutritional labels. A bit different, but not ruined. I'm still a fan, but now there are so many competitors that the change was probably not the best move.
The apple pie flavor is amazing. Quest Nutrition never fails to deliver the best tasting protein snacks on the market. These Quest Nutrition Quest Bars are my favorite product by them. The apple pie flavor is really good. No other protein bars really compare to Quest when it comes to flavor. The macros for these bars are also very good. I eat them when I cannot get a full meal, and it helps to fill in the nutritional gaps. The only downside is the high price per bar.
Lots of us are in search of that one bar that we can eat on the go to replace a meal or just get us to our next one. Quest bars do the trick. Of these flavors, I have had banana nut muffin, strawberry cheesecake, cinnamon roll, double chocolate chunk, and coconut cashew. If you like sweet, then go for Strawberry Cheesecake, but really any flavor with some sort of berry in the title. For some reason, the sweetness is more than evident in the "berry" flavors. The banana nut muffin is by far my favorite of this bunch. It tastes just like what it implies and if you microwave it for 15 seconds or so, it is even tastier. I recommend these bars to my clients who are looking for a tasty snack that is relatively healthy for them as well! I definitely recommend them and am pretty sure this as cheap a price you will find!
Lots of us are in search of that one bar that we can eat on the go to replace a meal or just get us to our next one. Quest bars do the trick. I have reviewed the other set of flavors, but these ones are by far my favorites... I used to buy boxes of cookies and cream, s'mores, and chocolate chip cookie dough as my staples until I met Mint Chocolate Chunk. This one is amazing. I have to actually stop myself from eating too many. I definitely recommend these as a snack between meals if you absolutely have to snack and I recommend these to all of my clients anyway. I like all of the flavors, but the Mixed Berry is a little too sweet. If you are looking for a more bland flavor, try Apple Pie or any of the chocolate or peanut butters.
Really yummy!!! Cannot wait to try the other flavors!!!! I am addicted and love the fiber content!!
What can I say about these protein bars that hasn't already been said? They're amazing. They're literally the best-tasting protein bars I've ever had, & they don't do it by throwing more sugar or artificial sweeteners than protein into them. My favorite flavors are apple pie & strawberry cheesecake. I stuck to the fruit flavors mostly, because I don't like chocolate flavored protein, drinks or bars. The apple pie flavor is really good warmed up too. Occasionally, I'll hear it up in the microwave for 15 seconds or so, then have it with a small scoop of vanilla ice cream. It really tastes like apple pie a la mode, but it won't wreck your diet.
These are a great grab and go snack! I keep a variety of flavors on hand so I don't get bored. I usually have 2 in my purse, and always keep a few stashed in my car for those days that I'm rushing around and realize I need to eat something with avoiding a drive-thru! These bars fill me up and certain flavors are better than others. My favorites: Mint Chocolate, White Chocolate Raspberry and Oreo.
Double Choc Chunk is a bit of a strange one. It is sweet, but with a salty bite to it. From the packet, I really enjoy these when they have been recently manufactured, but the longer they sit the more 'waxy' (for lack of a better word) they get. They really come into their own when heated up though, either baked for 8 mins at about 170 celcius, put under the broiler/grill for a few minutes, or warmed in the microwave for 12 seconds. Orrr, as they are protein bars and for convenience, warmed up the old fashioned way by sitting in your pocket (closed) during the day and enjoyed slighly soft. Heated is the only way I'd have it if it wasn't particularly fresh, and a preferred way even if it is.
