Hey, guys. Today we're back with a video, talking about a non-stim pre-workout, Hype Reloaded by Blackstone Labs.

Okay, so this is their reformulation. It's their newest product out, Blackstone. On the back we've got citrulline malate, glycerol monostearate, alpha GPC, icariin, potassium, L-norvaline. It's all dosed really well. So the first ingredient, citrulline malate, at six grams. What does citrulline do?

So it helps increase your arginine levels, which then it helps your body's production of nitric oxide. And all ... I'm like, right? Right?

I'm with you. I'm with you.

And then it also will eliminate the byproducts of the urea cycle.

That's true. And people are usually confused when they hear that citrulline increases arginine, and like, "Well, why don't I just take arginine?" People back in the day, and people still do, we'll take arginine. But it breaks down pretty quickly and pretty aggressively in your body before it gets to do what it needs to do when raise your levels. So it's very short acting. If you take citrulline, citrulline makes it through your body much further before it starts working on your arginine cycle. So it's just kind of like a time bomb that makes it further and then starts, whereas opposed to arginine, it kind of breaks down along the way.

Okay. So the next one is glycerol monostearate at two grams. Glycerol is something that is definitely used for a pump, but it's not in a nitric oxide sense. It provides hyperhydration. Basically it ... but it will only work if you drink a lot of water with it. You have to have a lot of fluid for it to work because it helps you retain water. So it definitely gives what people call a water pump, if that makes sense? It just works really, really well alongside of the vasodilator, but you have to drink a lot of water with or else it's not going to work. And also there is athletic performance benefits to it, but it's usually only related to endurance events. As far as strength output, there's really not much science out there that shows any benefits to that. But people are mainly using this for a pump anyway.

So the next ingredient is alpha GPC. Alpha GPC is going to be a nootropic. It's something that increases the choline levels in your brain. Choline turns into acetylcholine. Acetylcholine is the main neurotransmitter in your brain. So it should help you think a little quicker, have more focus, maybe some memory stuff, but more often just acute short-term focus.

So all of its normal benefits.

All the normal benefits of alpha GPC. And then it also, studies are showing, that it does raise dopamine levels too. So it makes you happy. So the next one is a icariin horny goat weed extract, standardized to 20% icariin. Icariin is something we had to look up.

Yes.

What does icariin do?

I will verbatim read it so we don't mess it up, but it has to do with your memory function. It benefits it. Let me just read it. So it says, "Icariin is the ingredient that has been shown to improve memory function, decrease levels of amyloid beta peptide-"

Amyloid?

Yeah. Wait.

Amyloid beta peptide is the thing that causes-

Alzheimer's.

Yeah, because if we have Alzheimer's, you build up a lot of amyloid plaque, and those peptides build up to make that plaque. And this says it reduces it?

It does.

That's pretty cool.

Yeah, so it helps prevent Alzheimer's.

I'm sure there's something else, as far as maybe less amyloid plaque or amyloid beta, maybe makes you focused more or something. I don't really know. I've never seen that ingredient before.

Yeah, it's a new one.

Yeah. And then there's L-norvaline. What L-norvaline does is it is an arginase inhibitor. What arginase is, is it is an enzyme that breaks down arginine. So like I said before, arginine really doesn't make it too far in your body. It's because you have arginase that breaks it down along the way. So what L-norvaline is, is something that stops arginase from breaking down arginine. So you kind of have, essentially, making all the way through to start arginine and then you have something that stops the breakdown of arginine. So you're kind of hitting that from two different angles. So you have a lot of nitric oxide production. You have a lot of water retention. You have focus from alpha GPC. And you're not going to get Alzheimer's. I can't guarantee that. But you're going in the right direction.

Yeah. They also have a lot of good flavors. I know this one's watermelon. I want to say they have a really good fruit punch one.

For us, gummy bear.

Yeah.

And then they have another one too.

I love their gummy bear flavor.

Yeah. They've got some good flavors.

Yeah.

But, yeah, that's Blackstone Lab's newest product, Hype reloaded. You should get one because it really does have a pretty good label.

Check it out.

Thanks. Round it off, ke-mo sah-bee.

Hey, guys. Today ... too much energy. Too much.

And then we have alpha GPC.

Which it has all the normal benefits, but its main thing that it'll help you with is it raises your dopamine levels. So it makes you happy.

No.
