Is Brewers Yeast the Same Thing as Nutritional Yeast?

The main difference between brewers yeast and nutritional yeast is brewers yeast is live active yeast which is used for making breads where as nutritional yeast has gone through a process to heat kill or deactivate the yeast and it's grown solely for nutritional content. They are however the same type of bacteria and some people do use the terms interchangeably.
