5% Nutrition New "Code Red Pre" Part of their Cost Effective "Code Red" Series
Rich Pianna's 5% Nutrition is a hugely popular old school supplement brand which has pretty much every category of the Sports Nutrition space covered with Preworkouts, Aminos, Muscle Builders, Proteins and more. Because the brand is so established they don't often roll out new supplements as they've pretty much already got every type of supplement and category covered. 5% did however recently announce three new supplements which are part of the brands cost effective "Code Red" series which will include Code Red Pre, Code Red Creatine, and Code Red Aminos.
With inflation running out of control, the supplement space isn't immune to price hikes. We've also seen recent trends of most popular preworkouts becoming "Premium" Preworkouts with price tags ranging from $50 to $70 for a tub. This spurred another trend in the supplement space and that is the trend of brands rolling out more cost effective products. Rule 1 put out their Roar Preworkout with around a $20 price tag and RAW Nutrition and CBUM put out their Essential Preworkout, another lower dosed but cost effective preworkout with price tag around the $30 mark. Well it seems 5% Nutrition is getting into this space as well with their all new Code Red Series which will feature more cost effective supplements, lower dosed sure, but not everyone needs or wants 10 plus grams of citrulline in their preworkout, many of us are just looking for a solid well rounded preworkout and don't need the mega dosages of various ingredients.
Taking a look the formula behind 5% Nutrition Code Red Pre it features 4 grams of Citrulline, 1 gram GlycerSize branded Glycerol, 1 gram Taurine, 300mg Natural Caffeine, 150mg Alpha GPC, and 0.300mg Huperzia Serrata. Overall it's a solid but modest formula, the combination of citrulline and agmatine should provide a nice pump, Taurine and Tyrosine will provide some nootropic benefits and hydration, 300mg of Natural Caffeine provides plenty of smooth energy without being over the top and 150mg of Alpha GPC should provide some improved motivation and increased focus despite being under the 600mg we'd like to see in a really well dosed preworkout.
While the price hasn't yet been revealed, we're guessing 5% Code Red Pre will come in somewhere between $20 and $30 which despite having 20 servings instead of 30 is still a pretty good bargain. The formula appears to be a solid formula and assuming the price point comes in under $30 it will be a pretty great bargain. We'll keep you updated when we learn more about 5% Nutrition's Code Red Pre which should be dropping on the brands site sometime in the coming weeks.
