Boba Tea Protein's Boba Puffs Cereal Goes Live
Yesterday was April Fool's Day so as usually happens supplement and functional food brands took to Instagram to post AI images of fake but funny products, things like a Chicken Soup flavored protein shake or a Chicken and Waffles flavored Preworkout, so when Boba Tea Protein posted an image of a new Boba Taro Milk Tea Cereal we were skeptical and thought it could be a joke. Well turns out they weren't joking, Boba Tea Protein is indeed rolling out a protein cereal called Boba Puffs in a Taro Milk Tea flavor which packs 15 grams of protein per serving with just 6 grams of net carbs.
Functional Food or Protein Cereal Companies like Magic Spoon have become incredibly popular, even being carried by Costco and other mainstream retailers so it's understandable why Boba Tea Protein would want to get in on the Protein Cereal Game. The All New Boba Puffs will feature 180 calories per bowl with 8 grams of fat, 12 grams of net carbs, just 3.5 grams total sugars and 15 grams of protein.
What's a little surpising is it appears a box contains just two servings which is a bit pricey at $4.99 per box, I assume they kept the service size so low as to not give people sticker shock by selling a $10 or $15 box of cereal, however it is slightly disappointing that you only get two servings out of a box of cereal.
I imagine Boba Tea Protein is testing the waters with a cereal to see how it does and hopefully can bring the price point down and roll out a larger box in the future, as well as potentially more flavors. Boba Tea Protein is also currently giving away a free box for orders over $25 and 4 free boxes for orders over $99 so its also possible this isn't for retail sale but is just a free giveaway promo again, to test the waters.
We'll keep you updated when we learn more about the All New Boba Puffs Taro Milk Tea Cereal.
